The island of Hvar is one of the most attractive tourist destinations on the Adriatic. City Hvar has an outstanding historical heritage - the cathedral, the Franciscan monastery, the Hvar theatre and the fortresses which offer a beautiful view on the Pakleni Islands and the island of Vis. The greatest treasure of Hvar are the Pakleni islands, an archipelago of small islands and rocks outside the city of Hvar, they managed to stay uninhabited and thus preserved their natural beauty.

3.day - Monday

Korcula, a birth place of Marco Polo contains a wealth of artistic masterworks including paintings by Tintoretto. Another highlight is the Treasury, located in the 14th-century Abbey Palace, with its eclectic collection of paintings, jewellery, fine furniture and historic documents. Charming views of the harbour greet visitors as they wind their way through the narrow alleyways.

On one of these lanes, you’ll see the Marco Polo house, where the famous explorer is said to have been born in 1254. Shop for handmade Croatian folk art near the City Gate, or relax at one of the picturesque waterfront cafés, and enjoy the breezy resort atmosphere that prevails in this medieval town.

4.day - Tuesday

  • Leaving for the Elafiti early morning
  • Swimming, sunbathing & fun
  • After lunch leaving for Dubrovnik
  • Free afternoon & possible evening in Dubrovnik

ELAFITI are a group of islands placed in the Adriatic Sea west of Dubrovnik. The biggest is Šipan, and to the group belong also Lopud and Kolocep (Kalamota). They attract many tourists with their beautiful scenery and sandy beaches.

Dubrovnik is a breathtaking sight, entirely surrounded by massive grey walls of stone, interspersed with four gates, three forts, five bastions and 14 square towers. The “Pearl of the Adriatic” contains a treasure-trove of medieval art and architecture that has earned it a designation as a UN World Heritage Site.
The Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries are beautiful examples of Romanesque–Gothic architecture, and other monuments of significance include the Onofrio’s Fountain, the Rector’s Palace, the Sponza Palace and several fine churches. A stroll along Stradun—the Old Town’s wide pedestrian promenade—allows you to discover Dubrovnik’s many fine shops, cafés and boutiques at leisure.
Don’t miss a chance to take the walk at the top of the wall surrounding the city for beautiful panoramic views of this fascinating city on the Adriatic.

5.day - Wednesday

  • Leaving for NP Mljet

  • possible visit to National Park and Odysseys Cave

The sparsely inhabited Island of Mljet, one of seven Croatian National Parks offers lovely pine forests and jewel-like lakes, with the opportunity for a refreshing swim in crystal-clear waters. It is believed that Mljet is an island where Odyssey has been imprisoned.

6.day - Thursday

  • Leaving for NP Lastovo

Lastovo is said to be the last piece of the former Mediterranean. Legends say it is Homers home and Lord Byrons inspiration. Visiting the island Lastovo means experiencing the harmony with untouched nature. Here you will enjoy crystal-clear sea and taste wine already drunk by the roman emperors. Lastovo is the name of one of a dozen gardens of Eden in the Mediterranean on the list of prestigious World Wild Foundation - WWF.

7.day - Friday

  • Leaving to Islets of Vis

Blue Grotto - Blue cave - was proclaimed as national natural heritage in 1951. It is a cave with entrance from sea, with unique form that enables almost magical natural light show to appear in its’ inside. Somewhere around noon, the sun’s rays are reflected through an underwater entrance creating a fascinating blueness. This unique sight can only be seen on a sunny day when the sea is calm.

*In case of adverse weather conditions, visit to Blue Grotto is not possible.

History

The story of Jastožera begins in the late 1883. In course of the Austro-Hungarian rule, the Italian customs officer who was employed here, decided to make the Jastožera, in order to breed lobsters. As he used the government money for the construction of the same, as misfortune would have it, he was soon brought to light and imprisoned.

Thus the Jastožera became the property of Ivan Marinkovic, at that time one of the most famous architects and constructors of lighthouses on the island of Palagruža. At that time, Marinkovic carried out works on the Jastožera, he took the opportunity and bought it on auction.

8.day - Saturday
